FAQ

How Does House Call Grooming Work?

Our service operates as a mobile salon, conveniently bringing the grooming experience into the comfort of your home.

Is My Home A Good Fit for House Calls?

More than likely!

In preparation for our grooming session, I kindly request the following provisions:

1. A roughly 6x6 area to accommodate my grooming table.

2. Access to a source of warm running water, which can be provided through a sink, bathtub, or shower.

3. An ample supply of clean towels for use during the grooming process.

What Will You be Bringing In My Home?

I arrive equipped with a portable grooming table and a rolling bag containing all the necessary supplies and equipment.

What About Clean Up?

I arrive equipped with a vacuum and all necessary cleanup materials for your convenience. However, I understand that some clients may prefer to handle the cleanup themselves, and that preference is absolutely acceptable. If you choose not to take on the cleanup, please be assured that I make every effort to ensure that your space remains as immaculate as it was when I initially began the grooming session. Your satisfaction with the grooming experience, including the cleanliness of your surroundings, is a priority for me.

Can I Check On My Pet?

I kindly request pet owners to refrain from checking on their pets while I am conducting grooming services. It is essential to consider the safety aspects involved in the grooming process, as I work with sharp tools that can pose a risk if your dog becomes distracted or overly excited upon seeing you. To ensure the well-being of your pet and maintain a focused and secure environment, I typically recommend that owners either relocate to a separate room during the grooming session or, if present in the same room, maintain a comfortable distance to allow me to perform my work safely and efficiently. Your cooperation in this matter greatly contributes to a positive and secure grooming experience for your beloved pet.

Do I Need To Be Home?

It is a standard practice for me to request that pet owners are present at home during the initial one or two grooming appointments. This enables us to facilitate a proper introduction and establish a foundation for effective communication. Having the owner present during these initial sessions is not only preferred but highly beneficial, as it provides an opportunity for immediate clarification of any queries, sharing essential information, and addressing specific concerns related to your pet's grooming requirements.

However, I do understand that certain circumstances may arise that make it challenging for the owner to be present. In such cases, please rest assured that I can accommodate the situation accordingly. Alternative means of communication will be put in place to ensure that I can readily address any questions or relay important information regarding the grooming process. Your flexibility and understanding in this matter are greatly appreciated.

Do You Take Aggressive or Nervous Pets?

In many cases, dogs tend to respond positively to the house call grooming setting. I've had numerous successes in assisting nervous pets, and I'm committed to tailoring the grooming experience to the unique needs of each individual dog. It's important to acknowledge that while I invest considerable effort in working with your dog at their own pace and customizing the experience to suit their specific requirements, there may still be instances where achieving a complete behavioral transformation proves challenging. In such situations, I may suggest considering the services of a veterinarian-trained groomer.

Do You Have A Van?

We specialize in house call grooming, which distinguishes us from traditional van-based services. While this distinction may cause some initial confusion, it's important to clarify that our grooming service operates exclusively within the comfort of your home.

What Is Your Payment Policy?

Payment for our services is due upon completion of the grooming session. We offer multiple payment options to accommodate your preferences, including credit card, cash, check, as well as digital payment platforms such as Cash App, Venmo, and Zelle.
